Your First Visit to Life Quest Chiropractic
Upon entering our office our receptionist will greet you and welcome you as a member of our family. After completing the necessary paperwork to help your doctor understand your condition, as well as assist in filing insurance claims, the doctor will see you. [See the forms.]
Next you will have a consultation with the doctor of your choice to discuss your health-related problems, as well as potential treatment options. Your first visit is designed for the doctor to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations. After we determine whether you are a candidate to benefit from chiropractic care, we will discuss how we can best meet your goals and expectations in getting well and staying well.
After your consultation, your doctor will perform a thorough chiropractic examination testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend, as well as other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to help us rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves. We are proud to offer Direct Digital X-rays which give us the clearest, most defined images of your spine and reduce your overall exposure to the damaging x-rays.
Review of Findings and Doctor's Recommendations
Once all the information has been gathered and examinations have been performed, your doctor will spend time with you, one-on-one, reviewing your test results and providing answers to the three most important questions our patients have:
- Can you help me?
- What do you recommend that I do to get better?
- How much is it going to cost?
After discussing with you your history, establishing your goals and reviewing any x-rays or tests, your doctor will discuss recommendations with you. If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you. If your doctor believes we can help you, he/she will recommend a personalized treatment plan including specific treatments, active rehabilitation and exercise, nutritional ideas and a wellness program.
Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment at the conclusion of the Review of Findings appointment. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy modalities, and/or soft tissue therapies. Treatment is interactive with you so you can express any concerns you have about the style of adjustment you will be most comfortable with. Our method of treatment is traditional chiropractic spinal adjustments delivered by hand using the Gonstead, Diversified and Thompson techniques. And for our seniors and those who prefer a lighter touch, our doctors are skilled in Activator Methods which uses a hand held device to deliver the corrective adjustment. You will experience the best of what chiropractic has to offer!
